Block copolymer containing segments of polystyrene and polyvinylsilazane (PS-b-PSZ) has been investigated via living anionic polymerization. The polyvinylsilazane block was used as a capping agent to form the bonding between polystyrene block in THF at -78oC then slowly warming up to room temperature. PS-b-PSZ was characterized by simultaneously GPC, 1H, 13C and 29Si NMR. The thermal and morphology properties of block copolymer were investigated by DSC, TGA and SEM with ceramic yield of 42 %wt at 1000oC. By using the block copolymer, SiCN mesoporous were obtained by extracted polystyrene block in THF at room temperature after cross-linking polyvinylsilazane block. This method opens up a new route to the controlled phase separation of block copolymer with precise placement of the phase separated domains. |
