The advantages of metal-organic framework–based nanohybrids including enhanced conductivity and charge transfer process, increased intrinsic activity, minimized aggregation of nanospecies, and possible synergistic interfacial effect compared with individual components make them more promising for diversified catalytic applications. Herein, the fabrication of nanohybrids composed of dendritic fibrous nanosilica (DFNS) and DFNS/gold (DFNS/Au) hybrids as the core and zinc-based nano metal-organic framework (Zn-NMOF) as the shell is reported. The generated nanospace in DFNS@Zn-NMOF can be deliberately utilized for the facile incorporation of Au nanodots to yield hierarchical DFNS/Au dots@Zn-NMOF nanoarchitectures. The resultant nanohybrids show improved catalytic performance for the Knoevenagel condensation reaction. |
