A cascade energy funneling structure for efficient perovskite light emitting diodes |

Metal halide perovskite materials have shown remarkable potential to be a next-generation light source owing to its superior optoelectronic properties. To fabricate efficient light emitting diode (LED) devices, effective management of charge carrier dynamics in perovskite layer is essential. Incorporation of energy funneling structure have been reported to be an effective approach to enhance a luminescence property of the perovskite LED devices. In this presentation, I will report a novel approach to fabricate cascade energy funneling structure to promote radiative recombination of charge carriers in the perovskite films and LED devices. Photo-physical studies unraveled that the energy funneling structure is indeed effective for preventing non-radiative recombination loss while enhancing the radiative recombination of the charge carriers. Based on the energy funneling structure, efficient green and near-IR perovskite LED devices will be demonstrated. |
