제목 Multifunctional Nanocomposites Derived from Covalent Bond-Induced Layer-by-Layer Assembly in Non-polar Solvent
초록 We introduce a layer-by-layer-assembled multifunctional nanocomposite on colloids via a nucleophilic substitution reaction (NSR). First, oleic acid-stabilized quantum dots (QDs) and magnetic nanoparticles (MPs) were synthesized, and stabilizers were exchanged to 2-bromo-2-methylpropionic acid (BMPA) without any change of solvent polarity. And nanocomposite were fabricated with BMPA-QDs (or BMPA-MPs) and amine-functionalized poly(amidoamine) (PAMA) dendrimers in a nonpolar solvent. The reaction was performed via NSR between -Br and -NH2. These could overcome disadvantages of conventional processes that proceeded in water such as a low packing density by electrostatic repulsion and reducing inherent properties of nanoparticles. These showed long-term stability of their inherent properties in nonpolar solvents. Furthermore, assembly of these onto flat substrates produced a hierarchical structure that exhibited superhydrophobic properties with water contact angles bigger than 150°.
