Fabrication of titania spheres based on block copolymer self-assembly and sol-gel chemistry |
초록 |
A large number of efforts have been devoted to the research of TiO2 materials in various shapes that has led to promising applications in areas ranging from photovoltaics and catalysis to sensors. In this work, TiO2 spheres with different size and microstructure were prepared by combining sol-gel chemistry with block copolymer self-assembly. Polystyrene-b-poly(ethylene oxide) block copolymer and F127 surfactant were employed as a structure-directing agent and a titanium tetraisopropoxide was used as titania source. The films containing TiO2 spheres were generated by simple drop-casting with controlled solvent evaporation, and removal of the organic template was achieved via calcination treatment. Formation process of nanospheres was proposed by observation of film morphology. TiO2 spheres with different size and surface pattern were prepared by controlling the concentration of surfactants and precursor and relative amount of surfactants. Detailed structure was examined by AFM and SEM. |
