Computational Analysis and Design Method for DNA Nanostructures |

Constructing a nanoscale structure using DNA has become a daily routine, but its design process is still labor-intensive, time-consuming, and error-prone due to the difficulties in knowing its geometrical and physical properties before synthesis as well as the limitations in its experimental verification. This process can be significantly improved by using a reliable computationl model that provides essential structural feedback to designers as quickly as possible so that they have a chance to revise the design in early design phase. Here, we present such a computational analysis and design method for DNA nanostructures developed to assist researchers from various scientific and engineering fields to build their own DNA nanostructures with minimal effort. We will also introduce our recent research effort to enhance its modeling capabilities via multi-scale analysis. |
