제목 Biocompatible micelle for EDTA delivery
초록 Biocompatible micelles based on pH sensitive polymers have been widely used in drug delivery. Recently fine dust is one of the top issues for containing heavy metals that induce respiratory diseases and accumulate in the body. EDTA(Ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid) have been used for heavy metal emissions, and it called chelation therapy. But initial this therapy treated by intravenous injection and they go thorough only blood vessel. So micelle can help the EDTA to enter into cells. Our research group purpose biodegradable and pH-sensitive polymer as carrier for drug delivery. In this study, biocompatible graft copolymer Poly(beta-amino ester )-g-poly(ethylene glycol) synthesis by Michael addition. That polymer forms micelles at pH above 7.4 and destabilized at pH below 6.5. We can see micelle in the body condition and break in intracell condition. Therefore we can expect EDTA will deliver into cell and drain the heavy metal that attached to the inside of a cell.
