We propose a stretchable conductive electrode in which silver particles penetrated the elastic rubber adhesive. This electrode can be applied to attachable heater, light emitting diodes (LEDs), and strain sensors by transfer printing attachable electrode to any substrate (skin, textile, paper, eco-flex). As a result of the penetrated Ag particles to adhesive layer, the patterned adhesive layer forms a strong affinity of confined effect between the silver particles and rubber adhesive depending on the gradient of particle concentration from surface to bottom. This stretchable electrode in which the silver particles are tightly penetrated into the adhesive of confined effect can be used for various purposes which accompany water proof and high mechanical stability up to 70% strain, radius of curvature 0.5 mm, crumping test (R/R0<1.5), and electrical conductivity of 0.58 ± 0.063 kΩ by adhering to the human skin, paper, textile, and 3-dimensional surface. |
