제목 Preparation and Characterization of Polypropylene Nonwoven Fabrics Prepared by Melt-blown Spinning
초록 Polypropylene (PP) nonwoven fabrics have been widely used in water purification and industrial due to their low cost, good mechanical strength, and high thermal and chemical stability. PP nonwoven fabrics have poor hydrophilicity, which are limited its further application in biomedical field. In this study, PP nonwoven fabrics were prepared by melt-blown spinning and treated with heat and plasma processes. Physical properties and particle removal efficiency of the nonwoven fabrics were investigated. As a result, the tensile strength of the nonwoven fabrics increased and the elongation decreased after heat treatment. The average pore size of the nonwoven fabrics after heat treatment was 0.7 m. The nonwoven fabrics after heat and plasma treatments showed high hydrophilicity and excellent particle removal efficiency.
