Urban air pollution related to the various volatile organic compounds (VOCs) emitted from industrial processes, transportation and household products, and exacerbated COVID-19 in the recent, severally threaten the health of people such as respiratory diseases, cancer and tumors. In order to deal with this issue, tremendous researches and technology developments such as a photocatalytic oxidation, an adsorption, a thermal oxidation, and a biological treatment have been made. Herein, we prepare a polyacrylonitrile (PAN) nanofiber based nanofilters containing metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) decorated on iron (Fe)-doped Titanium dioxide (TiO2) nanorod (NR), which serve as a multifunctional filter that has an efficient antibacterial performance as well as a VOCs removal property under a visible light irradiation. We demonstrate that PAN based nanofilters containing UiO-66 (Zirconium based MOFs)/Fe-TiO2 NR catalysts is to be a class of effective and efficient multifunctional filter platform contributing to resolve the air condition related environmental problems. |
