제목 Preparation of biocompatible UV-curable Azidophenyl Hyaluronic acid derivatives as anti-adhesion
초록 Hyaluronic acid(HA) has been applied widely in the medical field as a drug delivery system, tissue engineering scaffold, and anti-adhesion agent. Photoreactive azidophenyl hyaluronic acid derivative was synthesized to immobilize proteins such as epidermal growth factor and bone morphogenetic protein. To characterize the synthesized Az-HA, Fourier transform infrared, proton nuclear magnetic resonance and ultraviolet/visible absorbance spectroscopy were performed. We demonstrated protein immobilization by using fluorescein isothiocyanate conjugated albumin on Az-HA derivative surfaces that were patterned with micro scale. Cytotoxicity and relative cell proliferation tests of the Az-HA derivative were performed on an MG-63 human osteoblast cell line for biocompatibility. Because it is nontoxic to the cells, we suggest that the azidophenyl hyaluronic acid derivative could be applied to the medical field as a base material.
