제목 | AuNR-photosensitizer conjugates with intracellular glutathione driven tumor targeting for photodynamic and photothermal therapy. |
초록 | Photodynamic therapy (PDT) that destroy cancer cells by using photosensitizer (PS) to generate reactive oxygen species such as singlet oxygen has received attention as an effective cancer treatment. In this study, we developed AuNR-PS conjugates with disulfide bond as a glutathione sensitive linkages for selective tumor targeting. In addition, when the AuNR-PS conjugates are localized within tumor tissue, the AuNR can convert light energy into heat energy under NIR irradiation, resulting in photothermal therapy (PTT). AuNRs with different aspect ratios were synthesized and modified with biocompatible block copolymer. Their physicochemical properties, singlet oxygen generation, drug release and photothermal activities were investigated. Also, in vitro phototoxicity and cellular uptake were evaluated against MCF7 and A549 cell lines. |
