Room temperature vulcanizing (RTV) silicone adhesives are resistant to high temperatures, and are extremely flexible compared with other industrial adhesives. RTV silicones typically rely on chemical reactions with water. These materials crosslink at room temperature by reacting with ambient moisture. During crosslinking, alcohol as a byproduct is released in alcohol-type silicone adhesives. In this study, alcohol-type silicone adhesives composed of hydroxy-terminated poly(dimethylsiloxane), trimethoxymethylsilane and dibutyltindilaurate were prepared, and their adhesion properties were examined. We synthesized a methyloated graphen as a reinforcement, and its effects on the adhesion strength were also investigated. |
