Membrane for direct methanol fuel cell (DMFC) was fabricated by layer by layer (LbL) self assembly method and click-crosslinking based on Nafion. For high efficiency of fuel cell, the membrane requires high proton conductivity and low methanol permeability. To increase selectivity of the membrane, positively and negatively charged polyelectrolytes (amPSyn/sPSaz) were synthesized and deposited alternately on Nafion film by LbL method. For chemical stability of film, each layer was crosslinked by click reaction between alkyne and azide functional groups. Polycation and polyanion were investigated by FT-IR and NMR, and deposition of layers were measured with UV-vis spectrometer. |
