Fabrication of Polyzirconocarbosilane fiber by electrospinning |

Polycarbosilane (PCS) and zirconium butoxide were used as a precursor to prepare Polyzirconocarbosilane (PZC) fibers. A PZC was prepared by dissolving PCS in zirconium butoxide. This solution was heated at 250 oC in a nitrogen atmosphere for 1 hour with stirring, and then dried in a vacuum oven for 48 hour. PZC fiber was fabricated with electrospinning technique. The microstructures of PZC fibers are examined by scanning electron microscopy (SEM). And chemical structures of PZC fibers are examined by infrared spectrometer (IR) and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS). Thermal stability of polyzirconocarbosilane fibers was investigated by thermogravimetric analyzer (TGA). |
