제목 Synthesis and Characterization of Bimetallic Core-satellite Nanostructures with Eccentric Polymer Shell
초록 Bimetallic nanostructures with anisotropic polymer shell have been of great interest because of asymmetric distribution of their functionalities and surface chemistries. In this study, we report synthesis and characterization of bimetallic core-satellite nanostructures with eccentric polymer shell as advanced nanoprobes for photonics-based detection. These nanostructures were prepared by controlled reduction of a number of metallic nanoparticles (MNPs) onto the core MNPs and eccentric encapsulation of the polymer simultaneously, leading to the formation of the bimetallic core-satellite nanostructures with eccentric polymer shell as ideal nanoprobes because of the close gap between the core and the satellite of the bimetallic MNPs. These bimetallic core-satellite nanostructures exhibited the dramatically increased optical properties due to enhanced electromagnetic field. Conclusively, these nanostructures would be promising for advanced photonics-based biosensing.
