In this study, activated carbons (ACs) were prepared for supercapacitor electrode applications by using polymeric precursor under various activation conditions. Crystallinity of AC was adjusted by carbonization heating rate. The surface morphologies and structural characteristics of activated carbons were observed by SEM and XRD, respectively. The N2 adsorption isotherm characteristics at 77K were confirmed by BET and DR equations. From the results, specific surface areas and total pore volume of the AC were determined as 790~1620 m2/g and 0.31~0.68 cm3/g, respectively. It was also observed that pore structure were found to be depended on the functions of crystallinity and activation conditions. The ACs were applied as an electrode for EDLCs and analyzed in relation to the crystallinity. |
