제목 Tunable Softening and Toughening of Individualized Cellulose Nanofibers-Polyurethane Urea Elastomer Nanocomposites
초록 A series of PUU elastomeric nanocomposites using very low amounts of biobased nanofillers and individualized cellulose nanofibers, and having superb mechanical properties based on softening, was designed. TOCNs were covalently attached to the hard segments of PUU through a reaction of carboxyl and/or hydroxyl groups on TOCNs and the polyols with isocyanate groups of MDI. Clear dispersion, a network nanostructure as demonstrated by SEM analysis, and strong interfacial association between TOCNs and PUU play important roles in significantly strengthening and toughening the elastomeric PUU, which also shows increased extensibility and softening.
