Current radiation therapy is focusing on monitoring the tumor position in real time. In this work, we will improve characteristics of the Gold nano partilce (AuNP) fiducial marker using the bio-absorbable polymer in the process of radiation therapy to cure cancer tissues. Thus, we designed the pH-sensitive polymer, Poly(amino urea urethane), that have a characteristic of forming hydrogel after injection and can be composed of radiopaque materials (Gold nano particles) by settled encapsulation for monitoring the tumor position and tumor targeting therapy in real time. This hydrogel has great potential as injectable carriers for the X-ray marker because of their non-cytotoxicity and having degradation times over 8weeks. Using special equipment for particle radiation therapy, we optimized the property of the resultant bio-absorbable fiducial marker via optimizing the fabrication process, imaging properties and the bio-absorption nature. |
