In this study, full color polymer dispersed liquid crystal (PDLC) was made by adding photo luminous (PL) materials, and its optical property was evaluated to know the reflcetance, transmittance and color reproducibility. Two types of mixtures of liquid crystal and reactive monomer were prepared as the weight ration 6:4 and 5:5. Coumarin 6 was used as green PL, DCM as red PL and BBOT as blue PL. It was confirmed that the reflectance of PDLC containg coumarin 6 is higher than white PDLC, but those of PDLC containg BBOT, DCM are lower than white PDLC. Transmittance of coumarin 6 PDLC is 70%, BBOT PDLC is 10% and DCM PDLC is 30%. Color reproducibility indicated 13% at reflectance mode and 23% at transmittance mode. |
