제목 Effects of Zr4+ on Microwave Dielectric Properties of (Mg0.95Zn0.05)(Ti1-xZrx)O3 Ceramics
초록 The influence of Zr4+ substitution for Ti4+-site on the microwave dielectric properties of (Mg0.95Zn0.05)(Ti1-xZrx)O3 (0 ≤ x ≤ 0.3) ceramics was investigated. The XRD pattern showed the MgTiO3 with ilmenite crystal structure as the main crystalline phase through all of the specimens. With the increase of Zr4+ substitution for Ti4+-site, the dielectric constant (ɛr) increased with increase of unit cell volume due to the larger ionic radius of Zr4+ (0.69Å) than Ti4+(0.605Å). The grain size and density of the specimens increased with Zr4+ substitution, which improved the quality factor (Qf) of the specimens. The excess of Zr4+ resulted in the formation of secondary phase of TiO2 which declined the quality factor (Qf) of the specimens and increased the temperature coefficient of resonant frequency (TCF) of the specimens. The dependence of microwave dielectric properties on sintering temperature also discussed.
