제목 | Temperature-responsive injectable hydrogel system for efficient long-term delivery of musculoskeletal disease |
초록 | A variety of musculoskeletal disease conventionally treat with nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs), but it has severe drawbacks, such as bleeding in the stomach or other digestive tract. Changing the routes of drug administration can be applied to reduce gastric damage, while maintaining the effect of the drug. Injectable hydrogels system has been widely used as an advantageous approach to sustained medical effects in the locally musculoskeletal. Several polysaccharides are soft, biocompatible, and biodegradable so that those are directly infused into damage site without invasive surgery. Temperature-responsive polymers rapidly form hydrogels at a specific temperature, however, these hydrogels could not form in room temperature condition. Using these properties, we designed hydrogels loaded NSAIDs to control drug release profile depending on temperature condition and to locally treat musculoskeletal disease. |
