제목 | Precipitation of Inclusion Complex and Encapsulation Particles of Cetirizine by Supercritical Anti-solvent System |
초록 | Antihistamines are one of the important drugs to modern people suffering from allergy by natural chemical histamine. Cetirizine is a widely used antihistamine to treat allergic rhinitis. In case of cetirizine, however, it has problems about bitter taste making users feel unpleasant. Besides, its dissolution rate is too fast to last in human body for a long time. In this research, masking bitter taste of cetirizine was achieved by formation of inclusion complex between cetirizine and β-cyclodextrin. Also, to enhance dosage convenience, drug release rate of cetirizine was slowed down by preparating cetirizine coated by poly (lactide) stereocomplex which is biodegradable polymer. These processes were carried out by aerosol solvent extraction system (ASES), which is one of the supercritical anti-solvent systems, using supercritical CO2 as anti-solvent. These two kind of product showed successful results. By formation of inclusion complex, bitter taste of cetirizine was almost removed. In case of encapsulation particle, its release rate was significantly slowed down. |
