Carbon nanotube based hybrid materials for counter electrode in dye-sensitized solar cells |

Dispersion controlled pastes composed of multi-walled carbon nanotubes (MWCNTs) and metal nanoparticles were prepared for the fabrication of counter electrode in dye-sensitized solar cells (DSSC). A para-hydroxy styrene based block copolymers containing pyrene functional groups were prepared by controlled radical polymerization technique for the surface modification of MWCNTs. The pastes were coated on TCO/glass through screen printing method, affording semi-transparent and electrochemically active electrodes. Properties of the pastes along with the photoelectric performances and stability of DSSCs were investigated.
