Herein, we designed an electronic self-healing hydrogel induced NIR irradiation in response to pH by pDA conjugated zwitterionic polymer dots (Z-PDs) loaded into PNIPAAM hydrogel as the wireless biosensor. The photothermal properties and intermolecular hydrogen bonding of the sensor was attributed to the blooming-bridged phenomenon of pDA/Z-PDs. At 7.4 pH, the photothermal properties was inactivated under NIR irradiation due to the bloomless state, while at pH 6.0 and 8.5, the hydrogel showed the self-healing behavior as the blooming bridged effect appeared causing fluorescence ON/OFF behavior. Therefore, the changed electrochemical signals were monitored via a wireless system connected with a smartphone for real time monitoring. Therefore, the electrochemical approach of self-healing hydrogel proved a promising method for real time monitoring in the future application of hydrogels.
