제목 Bi-phase alginate carriers loaded BMP-2 for proliferation of bone marrow stromal cells
초록 Tissue engineering has greatly benefited from growth factor-based regenerative systems. The matrix-based systems for growth factor delivery for regenerating injured tissues need to stabilize the loaded signaling molecules, control their release, and also support the structural strength as a template filling the lesion site. In this study, we adopted alginate nanohydrogels containing growth factor, Bone Morphogenetic Proteins-2(BMP-2), to improve the release profile of BMP-2 from hydrogel scaffold. We prepared three kind of hydrogel systems; alginate gels with BMP-2, alginate gels with nanoparticles containing BMP-2, and alginate gels with BMP-2 and nanoparticles. Release profiles of these bi-phase alginate carriers as well as the physical properties are evaluated. The effects of release profiles of BMP-2 from bi-phase alginate carriers on the differentiation of human bone marrow stromal cells(hBMSCs) into oesteogenic cells are reported.
