Despite of the progression of lithium-ion battery industry, firing risk of organic electrolytes of batteries becomes a significant issue. Recently, solid electrolyte is used for the lithium ion batteries instead of liquid electrolyte to address the safety issue. but the solid electrolytes has some problems like low ionic conductivity and interfacial resistance. Herein, we coat the oxide materials onto the cathode material to increase the conductivity of the solid electrolyte. The coated oxide materials were carefully selected with the consideration of the band structure. With aligning the potential range, an oxide material is used to mitigate chemical reaction between the cathode material and the solid electrolyte by reducing direct contact. Materials were composed into cells and analyzed. Battery performance was enhanced such as improved cycle performance and increased ionic conductivity. |
