The performance of conventional energy storage with liquid electrolytes have made great progress in the last twenty years, but the inherent instability of liquid electrolytes leads to safety problems. The solid polymer electrolyte (SPE) offer a perfect solution to these safety concerns. Traditional SPE are dual ion conductors, in which both cations and anions are mobile and lead to concentration polarization, which leads to poor performance of devices. Single ion conducting solid polymer electrolytes, which have anion covalently bound to the polymer or inorganic backbone or immobilized by anions acceptors, which in comparison to conventional SPE dual-conduction are widely accepted to have better performance in energy storage devices. In this study, a novel hydrogel electrolyte was prepared for a single ion conduction. The prepared materials were characterized by FT-IR, SEM, TGA, DTA, EIS and LSV. |
