제목 | Block Copolymer Electrolytes with Ionic Liquids for Electrochemical Applications |
초록 | Ionic liquid incorporated block copolymers, where one of the blocks has charged species (or preferentially solvates the ionic species) have attracted considerable attention for solid-state polymer electrolytes because they have both good transport properties and mechanical stability. The non-ionic block will impart desired mechanical properties, while the ionic block will enable ion conduction. Because the size, shape and orientation of the block copolymer structures strongly impacts their transport and mechanical properties, our understanding of structure and property relationships in ionic liquid incorporated block copolymers will be described. In addition, an electrolyte-gated transistor (EGT), where an ionically conducting and electronically insulating electrolyte is used as a gate dielectric, has attracted substantial interest due to the extremely large capacitance. In this presentation, the ability of novel ion gel electrolytes to use the material as the gate insulator in organic thin film transistors will also be discussed. |
