The electron-withdrawing group lowers the energy level (HOMO and LUMO), so electron can easily inject from the source-drain electrode into the organic layer due to low LUMO energy level, and organic materials have high oxidation potential due to low HOMO energy level. Also, alkyl thiophene unit was introduced due to molecular assembly through the intermolecular π-interactions and sulfur-sulfur (S-S) interactions. To achieve high charge-carrier mobility, the side chain packing is clearly an important factor. Therefore, we synthesized conjugated polymers with low energy level and facilitate molecular ordering through electron-withdrawing group and intermolecular interdigitation, respectively. Synthesized conjugated polymers were characterized by NMR, FT-IR spectroscopy, GPC, DSC, and electrochemical and optical properties were studied by cyclic voltammetry, UV-Vis absorption and photoluminescence, and FET performance will be discussed. |
