In this work, we developed a series of quinoxaline-based D-A alternating copolymers containing different electron-rich units (2T, 2T2F, 3T, and 2TB), and fabricated non-fullerene solar cells by blending them with well-known ITIC small-molecule acceptor. Among four different polymer donors, PDFQx-3T:ITIC system achieved a competitive power conversion efficiency of over 8% with high short circuit current of 17.11 mA/cm-2. We investigated structural property-morphology-device function correlation using this model system, and it was found out that the high performance of PDFQx-3T devices were attributed to the increase of absorption, finer interpenetrating morphology, and face-on dominated orientation. |
