제목 | Synthesis of Poly(ethyrene oxide) carry out specific functional group |
초록 | n-Butyllithium-initiated ring-opening polymerization of ethylene oxide in the presence of t-BuO-K+ was successfully carried out in the mixture of benzene and dimethylsulfoxide at 40℃ for 48h. This polymerization system provided the best method to control the molecular weight of the PEO formed. The resulting polymeric alkoxide retained the living nature resulting in the production of chain-end functionalized PEO by reacting with a variety of electrophiles such as 1,3-propane sultone, propylene sulfide, trimellitic anhydride chloride, or 2-bromopropyl bromide or 2-bromoisobutyryl bromide. the functionalization yields were over 97mol%. In this presentation, we will report the result for the chain-end functionalization of PEO. |
