The microcapsule is one of the most useful devices to release active ingredient in more effective, longer, and safer manner. In this study, temperature-sensitive hydrogel microcapsules were synthesized by emulsion-interfacial reaction. Hydrophilic polymers, such as poly(N-isopropyl acrylamide), were employed as the wall material of microcapsules. The swelling behavior of the hydrogel microcapsules was studied in the buffer solutions of several different temperatures. The semi-IPN microcapsules had good temperature-sensitivity in the lower temperature range. |
