The thermo-sensitive hydrogel containing copolymer of P(NIPAM-co-ODA) |

The hydrogel was prepared from β-cyclodextrin(β-CD) crosslinked with epichlorohydrin(EPI) under basic conditions, where the molar ratio of EPI to β-CD were 10:1. In order to endow a temperature-sensitivity to the hydrogel, poly (N-isopropylacrylamide)(NIPAM) with hydrophobic group was loaded in the hydrogel by taking advantage of its hydrophobic interaction with cavities of the β-CD. The thermo-sensitive copolymer of NIPAM and octadecyl acrylate(ODA) was synthesized by radical copolymerization. The P(NIPAM-co-ODA) hydrogels were studied in the swelling ratio and drug release and characterized by means of TEM. |
