제목 Template-Free Synthesis of Hollow Dimpled Polystyrene Microparticles By Dispersion Polymerization
초록 We have developed a facile method that can synthesize hollow dimpled polystyrene microparticles by using a one-step dispersion polymerization method that adopted the heterophase polymerization system. In the synthesis, ammonium persulfate (APS) was initiator and played a critical role in the formation and growth of highly uniform and stable hollow PS microparticles. By varying the concentration of APS and polymerization time, we were able to control the average size of the PS particles and their degree of concavity. The hollow dimpled PS particles produced in this study were quite uniform, and they showed excellent stability with regards to their dispersity and shape.
