제목 Electrical Properties of Organic Single Molecules
초록 The electrical conductance and thermoelectric power of organic single molecules was studied using a modified scanning tunneling microscope break junction technique. The effect of molecular structure on the single molecule conductance was investigated by measuring a series of thiol terminated molecules. The single molecule conductance was dependent on the structure of molecules. Measurement of the thermoelectric power of organic single molecules, p-type (hole) conduction in Au-molecule-Au was indicated. The ability to study thermoelectricity in molecular junctions can offer an opportunity to molecular thermoelectric energy conversion.
