제목 | Cyclodextrin Incorporated Gelatin Bioglues to Reinforce Tissue Adhesiveness |
초록 | Bioglues are becoming promising materials in diverse clinical applications. However, to satisfy clinical requirements, the adhesiveness and biocompatibility have to be improved. In this study, Cyclodextrin (CD) incorporated gelatin-hydroxyphenyl (GH) hydrogels as a bioglue were developed to enhance the tissue adhesion property. The tissue adhesive strength of GH/CD hydrogels were significantly increased by incorporating CD into GH hydrogels via supramolecular forces. At GH 5 wt% and CD 5 wt%, the composite hydrogels exhibited maximum adhesive strength (36.5 kPa), which was nearly 3.3 and 8 times higher than that of GH hydrogels and fibrin glue as a control, respectively. Through in vitro cell study, we also confirmed that the GH/CD composite hydrogels have an excellent cytocompatibility. This shows an emerging potential as a promising tissue adhesive material.
