Properties of UV- curable Solvent Free Pressure Sensitive Adhesive |

In this study the effects of methyl methacrylate (MMA), trimethylolpropane triacrylate (TMPTA) and silicone urethane acrylate oligomer were investigated for further optimizing the properties of UV-curable pressure sensitive adhesives (PSAs) to meet the emerging strict requirements on holding power and peel strength for practical uses. The results illustrate that the increasing of MMA content decreased the peel strength and improve the holding power. The variation of TMPTA content from 1wt% to 10wt% can significantly enhanced the holding power from 1h to above 120h. The peel strength of UV-curable PSA was reduced to zero when oligomer content more than 40wt%, whereas the oligomer content variation from 30 to 70wt% could significantly enhance the holding power from 5h to above 120h. |
