제목 Sun screening agents and the hair damage by ultraviolet
초록 Increasing awareness of the damaging effects of sun light has led to a significant demand for improved photo-protection by topically applied sun screening agents.  As pigments, titanium dioxide and zinc oxide are opaque to UVB and UVA radiation. Their uses has nevertheless been limited in sun care products for cosmetic reasons. Microfine titanium dioxide is specially designed physical UV filter optimizing UV attenuation while minimizing the aesthetically adverse whitening effect of pigmentary titanium dioxide on the skin. Organic UV filters represent a chromophore system in which the conjugated system of benzene chromophore is extended by substituting ring hydrogen atoms by unsaturated aliphatic groups in conjugation with the ring, or by substituent bearing unshared electron pairs. In the case of human hair, UV irradiation has effected external and internal structures of hair.
