Preparation of Radiation-induced Natural Herb Extracts as Anti-inflammatory Therapeutic Agents |
| 초록 |
Natural herbs such as Curcuma longa L. (CL) have long been used in Asian traditional medicine as a blood purifier and for the treatment of the skin diseases and wound healing, due to its antioxidant, anti-inflammatory and antibacterial effects. In this study, the radiation-induced aqueous CL extracts were investigated as anti-allergic and anti-inflammatory therapeutic agents for an atopic dermatitis (AD). It showed a marked inhibition of the allergic response in animals treated with the CL extracts and excellent healing results on atopic wounds without toxicity and being harmful to humans. |
