제목 Polyimide/polyvinyl alcohol bilayer gate insulators for high-performance low-voltage organic thin-film transistors
초록 We fabricated organic thin-film transistors with polyimide/polyvinyl alcohol(PVA) bilayer gate insulator for low-voltage operation. A PVA layer with a high dielectric constant was introduced between the polyimide layer and gate electrode to increase the low dielectric constant of polyimide gate insulator. At a low operation voltage below 5V, pentacene and 2,7-dioctyl[1]benzothieno[3,2-b][1]benzothiophene(C8-BTBT) TFTs with 150nm-thick polyimide/PVA gate insulators showed excellent device performances, whereas pentacene and C8-BTBT TFTs with 150nm-thick polyimide gate insulators were inactive.
