Influence of an amphiphilic polymer for sPAES/PVDF/UAN composite membrane in vanadium redox flow battery |

For Vanadium Redox Flow Battery (VRFB), Amphiphilic polymer Urethane acrylate non-ionomer (UAN) is introduced into sulfonated poly(arylene ether sulfone) (sPAES) / Poly (vinylidene fluoride) (PVdF) composite membranes to improve their compatibility. This composite membrane is characterized water uptake, proton conductivity and VRFB cell performance. Addition of UAN leads longer-life device performance than sPAES / PVdF composite membrane. It is because that morphology of composite membrane is changed. It was confirmed by Atomic Force Microscopy (AFM). |
