Layered double hydroxide (LDH) are a kind of layered materials that consists of positively charged layers and the interlayer exchangeable anion. Their general composition can be represented as [M(II)1-xM(III)x(OH)2]X+{An-x/nmH2O]x-, where M(II) and M(III) are divalent and trivalent cations, respectively, and An- is exchangable anion. In recent years, LDHs have received considerable attention because of their application as catalysts, ion exchangers, adsorbents, ceramic precursors, and organic-inorganic nanocomposites. In this study, anionic LDH having carbonate anion and organo-modified LDH was synthesized by co-precipitation method. Nylon 6,6 nanocomposites were then prepared by in-situ polymerization and analyzed by using TGA, DSC, XRD and TEM. |
