Many researches on 1,3,4-oxdiazole (OXD) materials have been reported over the past decade. They have attracted much attention for their thermal stability and high electron affinity responsible for electron transporting property in connection with potential application in flat panel display, imaging, and chemosensor. Most of these researches are mainly interested in main-chain 1,3,4-OXD polymer structure. Herein, we attempted to incorporate 1,3,4-OXD units in the polymer branch which has a hydroxyl group in the ortho position at the end of the branch. Using the excited state intramolecular proton transfer (ESIPT), we performed the fluorescence imaging in solid state.
