제목 A Temperature-Dependent Charge Transport Modulated by Novel Hybrid Sidechains in the Polymer Semiconductors
초록 The exact understanding of thermally activated charge transport in the polymer semiconductor thin film suggests criteria for the design of electrically engineered heterostructures. Surprisingly, little attention has so far been given to designing new solubilizing groups for conjugated polymers. Here, we introduce a novel siloxane-terminated hybrid solubilizing blocks as a side-chain in an isoindigo-based conjugated polymer and demonstrate its effectiveness on temperature-dependent charge transport in organic field-effect transistors (OFETs). We found that at a low temperature regime, an activation energy of 8~12 meV was obtained from polymer semiconductors designed by us. In contrast, the reference polymer with a branched alkyl sidechain gave an average activation energy of 132 meV, which can be largely explained by the highly ordered polymer packing for our new polymer semiconductor.
