N-octane based ferrofluid was prepared by co-precipitation method for maghemite followed by surface coating of oleic acid and the micron-sized core/shell type maghemite(γ-Fe2O3)/ polydivinylbenzene particles were successfully prepared in the precipitation polymerization. Various stabilizers were used for preventing the coagulation of the magnetic hybrid particles and forming the maghemite in the core. |
