Composites of multi-walled carbon nanotubes (MWCNTs), polypyrrole (PPy), and maghemite (γ-Fe2O3) nanoparticles were prepared by in situ polymerization as a shielding material of electromagnetic interference. For improving the EMI shielding efficiency (SE), the favorable interactions between pyrrole monomers and MWCNTs in composites were introduced through the surface modification. The composites were characterized by transmission electron microscopy (TEM), field emission scanning electron microscopy (FE-SEM), X-ray diffraction analysis (XRD), X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS). The adsorption was a main contribution for EMI shielding from the view of EMI SE mechanism. The EMI SE over 30 dB was observed for these nanocomposites. |
