제목 | Solar Energy based fabrication of carbon nanomaterals from C1 pollutants |
초록 | We aim in efficient storage of solar energy, and synthesis of carbon nanomaterials such as nanotubes by using solar energy and carbon dioxide. In this talk, various efforts recently initiated for accomplishing this goal will be briefly introduced. 1) First step is conversion of solar energy to electric energy by using photovoltaic cells. Recently, organic solar cell with a power conversion efficieny above 8 % could be fabricated. Further attempt to constructed photoelectrochemical cells based on organic molecules for water splitting has been initiated. 2) Carbon dioxide and hydrogen, or carbon dioxide and methane can react to form carbon monoxide using proper high-temperature catalysts, and the products of these reactions can be subsequently converted into carbon nanomaterials. |
