Polyimide/carbon nanotube(CNT) composite films were prepared by thermal or chemical imidization reaction of 4,4’-oxidiphthalic anhydride(ODPA) or pyromellitic dianhydride(PMDA) with 4,4’-oxydianiline(ODA). Acid treated CNT added to the polyimide solution in an attempt to improve interfacial tension between polyimide and CNT due to the fine dispersion of CNT in polyimide matrix. The effects of CNT concentration and acid treatment on the electrical, thermo-optical & mechanical properties of polyimide/CNT composite films were characterized by DSC, TGA, DMA, TEM, XRD, Viscometer, FT-IR and Raman. These composite films are potentially useful in a variety of electronic applications such as next generation flexible copper clad laminate films(NFCCL) on flexible PCB(FPCB) and IC packaging. |
