Novel Sulfonated Poly(arylene ether sulfone) composite membrane containing tetraethyl orthosilicate (TEOS) for a PEMFC application |
초록 |
Sulfonated poly(arylene ether sulfone) (SPAES) membranes show lower proton conductivity at a high temperature and relative low humidity compared to perfluorinated membranes such as Nafion. To overcome these drawbacks, the novel SPAES composite membranes containing tetraethyl orthosilicate (TEOS), Which has excellent retention ability of water, were prepared. For the resulting membranes, the thermal properties were investigated by differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) to distinguish the free water and boundary water, and the morphological observations were carried out by atomic force microscope (AFM). It was concluded that the proton conductivity of the composite membrane is higher than that of Nafion 212 at 120℃ and 48%-RH. |
